The bay ending doesn't make any sense. You have a vision of the storm before you ever use your power so why does but using it prevent the storm? It's not chaos theory, chaos theory would give us multiple endings based on the various choices you made in the game not just two. And as you said how does everything you do still end up coming true despite you not having knowledge or ability to ensure they happen. And yet they miraculous still happen. I know that more chapters were planned I think some things were cut that would have made this ending make sense. As it stands it's kinda of a deus ex sacrifice

@@sakisaotome6753 agreed with that, she had visions before she got the powers which showed to me that (and thats my fanfic) a deity or superpower wanted to play games with her to make her save the bay at the end and lose everything she did. And thats another reason why i always save chloe, to show my middlefinger to that power lol.

it would be logical. the entire first game basically told us that max' powers, when used, lead to increasingly catastrophic events.

​@glarcier4398 I would argue that you guys have it backwards. Saving Chloe does not cause the Storm. Choosing to let her die however will, for reasons that are not well justified in the game, prevent the storm happening. It is important to remember that Max had a vision of the storm BEFORE she uses her powers. That makes the storm the baseline event. Warrens theory that because of chaos theory her using her powers is what causes the storm is just wrong (not his fault as he doesn't know everything) as mentioned the vision of the storm PRECEDES her using her powers. If using your powers causes the storm than that man's it was preordained somehow. Because it is the vision of the storm that sends you to the bathroom which leads to you using your power. Had you not gotten the vision Max wouldn't have felt the needed to go to the bathroom and Chloe would have died. And their wouldn't have been a storm. You also never her another vision of the future in the game. So it seems purposeful that you get a vision that leads you to activating your powers. Then again I suppose it's also possible that dontnod misunderstood or perhaps even purposely misused chaos theory. Especially given the butterfly storm motiff of the game. I'm not fond of this idea but or is possible.

@@sakisaotome6753 It is important to remember that "using max' powers" is not the same as "saving chloe". In Ep 5, the storm happens despite the fact that you couldn't save Chloe from being murdered by Jefferson, meaning that her being alive is not linked to the catastrophe. The answer must lie in those few minutes from her first vision to the first save in the bathroom. Back then, I had the theory that max lives through a loop, and gets her memory erased each time she doesn't succeed, but they didn't use this. Maybe the new game tells us where she got her power anyhow :/

Knowing Vincent Livings he definitely doesn’t have the best track record of promised release dates. I’m definitely betting Ch5 isn’t coming out until 2025 at the very least. However… If ch5 does get realest by 2024 then congratulations for proving me wrong.

@@yassenkhattab1010 that’s my point I want nothing more than to be proven wrong. But I’m worried that once I fully trust Vincent Livings word it will then be yet another delay. Let’s not forget before ch4 was finally released to the public. We were giving many promises of the exact release date and we’re ultimately fed lies. First we were promised 2019 Then after all JJG raps it will be released Then 2020 during December. (Which we all know how that went down with literally death threats.) Finally without being told anything out of nowhere we were given the official ch4. I just hope Vincent Livings learned from his mistakes and doesn’t do a repeat with ch5.
